Hey, I'm James.
I've been living in the UK for most of my life but now I've moved back to Germany and am hoping to get back into music soon.
I speak English and German, though am a little worse at reading/writing on the German side, hence why I'm doing this in English.
Personality wise (Because if you're going to be stuck playing with me you deserve to know what you're signing up for aha) I'm a bit of a comedian. I will make jokes, so many jokes. And puns, I will not take things seriously, unless the situation calls for it. Then you'll get me to lock in. 100% business, no puns. There's a time and place for everything and I'm experienced enough to know when that is.
I've been playing most of my life but I only really started getting serious about 12 or so years back. Although I prefer metal genres, I can play any sort of music, I can learn music by ear and quite enjoy writing bouncy, energetic riffs.
I haven't posted in a while on my due to life catching up with me, but in the middle of building myself a little studio area to get back to it.

Influencias
I grew up listening to early metalcore, I've since branches out into more diverse subgenres and my playing style reflects that.
I started with ands like August Burns Red, All that Remains, Bullet for my Valentine. And now also enjoy things by The Ghost Inside, Make them Suffer, Spiritbox, Tethra, Novelists, Erra, Alleviate and Polaris.

I had to sell a lot of my gear for the move over to Germany, but I still own several guitars and amps. Will be upgrading my rig for gigging as soon as the situation calls for it.
